On yesterday’s Slice of SciFi show we announced that CBS was seriously considering a new drama series with a plot idea from the creators of “Joan of Arcadia” that would center on exorcisms. We can now announce that CBS has decided to run with the show, tentatively titled “Exorcist.”
“Joan of Arcadia” creator Barbara Hall along with the producer Joe Roth will delve into the world of demons, imps and your everyday spiritual troublemakers following hot on the trail of an ex-Jesuit priest/psychologist who performs exorcisms as part of his therapeutic treatment plan.
Barring an extended writer’s strike, look for this one on the Eye Network sometime in 2007.
