You may be the next to Join the Jedi Order!

A newly launched user-generated site called Ziddio.com is running a contest where our Slice of SciFi fans can enter to win some awesome prizes including:

The Grand Prize of a 3-day/2-night trip to the Kennedy Space Center for two that includes, Round-trip air fare, the Zero Gravity ride on the ‘Weightless Wonder,’ Hotel Accommodations, a rental car and $1,000 in spending cash.

Six First Place Prize Winners will receive a $500 Jedi signing bonus. And, 24 Runners-up will receive a one year membership to Hyperspace: The Official Star Wars Fan Club and be featured in an episode of Style Network’s “Clean House”!

To enter all you need to do is submit a digital video explaining (or, even better, showing) why they’re the biggest Nerfherder in America.

HERE’S HOW TO ENTER [Official Contest Rules]: Beginning 3:00 PM ET on 11/2/06, visit “Ziddio Join the Jedi” and follow the on-screen directions to complete an Official Entry Form and upload a video resume with your answer(s) to at least one of the six interview questions showing why you deserve to be employed as a Jedi Knight (the “Video”).

Video must not exceed 60 seconds in length. Video file must be 100MB or smaller and in MOV (Quicktime), WMV (Windows Media), AVI and MPEG-4 file format. Entries must be received by 11:59AM ET on 12/14/06. All entrants must be registered users of ziddio.com (the “Site”).

All entrants must agree to the Terms of Submission outlined in Rule #4; noncompliance with this or any other Official Rule will result in disqualification. By submitting your entry, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Official Rules, and you accept and agree to abide by the Official Rules together with the Terms of Use of the Site. To the extent that the Official Rules and Terms of Use for the Site are inconsistent, then the provisions of the Official Rules shall govern. Additionally, you agree that you have all rights, approvals and/or consents necessary to submit the Video on the terms provided in these Official Rules and your Video does not violate the rights of any other person or entity or any law. Any Video, which in the sole opinion of Sponsor, is deemed inappropriate (e.g., defamation, nudity, gratuitous violence, inappropriate language, etc.) or inconsistent with the theme or image of the promotion will result in disqualification.

All entries should be in English. You may enter more than once; however, each entry must be accompanied by a unique Video. Decisions of judges are final.

    Very cool contest. I was looking at some of the videos so far on the site and they are hilarious. Looks like there are a lot of people out there who want to join the jedi order.
