Fans braved long lines in the cold rain today in London, England just to be able to say they saw the new blond-Bond, Daniel Craig in person and on the silver screen as Agent 007.
Well, Craig may have been part of the draw, but it is more likely that the list of royal visitors to the movie’s premiere may have had a little to do with it as well.
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was among an A-list of celebs on hand at the premiere of the 21st Bond film adapated from Ian Fleming’s first Bond novel of nearly 60 years ago, “Casino Royale.”
Also on hand were the likes of Mr. Elton John, Beyonce Knowles, taking a day off from her international tour, and a whole list of other stars and celebs attached to the film. The movie was a big hit with the Queen.
The rest of the world will have their opportunity to see this latest incarnation of the famous triple-digit spy beginning this Friday, November 17th – minus the Queen of England, however.

He has blonde hair? I thought his hair looked light brown in the commercials.

Sandy Blonde by Revlon’s calculations ๐
Bronzethumb says
No, it’s blonde. Hence the “Blond, James Blond” jokes.
Kyle Nin says
Yeah, I understand the joke. It’s just that his hair didn’t look blonde, you know like German-blonde. It looked more like highlighted brown hair.
(What am I doing? Arguing about someone’s HAIR COLOR?)

er…more importantly, the trailers look kick-ass! This is the first Bond movie that I am excited about since Goldeneye.

Nice the Queen mum has something to take her mind off of the royal family.
Dark blond (blonde refers to the female of the species), though it appears more brown at times due to lighting. Eyebrows are lighter blonde.
Saw the movie Friday, good entry. Script seems to be geared for attracting younger fans to the franchise. Nice opening credits animation. Big action scene after credits, as the youngsters say, “rocks”. After that the action scenes are pretty standard to an action film. Humour’s a bit labored and plot elements are pretty predictible (pay attention to the dealers cards on the table and if you know poker – yes, they change the game from Baccarat/ Chemin de Fer with Hold’em to cash in on the current craze of poker – you should be able to guess Bond’s hand at the end of the game).
Craig acquits himself well as Bond (anyone else see a rugged Steve McQueen resemblance to his appearance?). Add a bit more muscle and he’d make a good Steve Rogers/Captain America, if the movie gets made and they’re smart enough to set it in WW II 1940s and shoot for the same aesthetics as the WW II era scenes in Hellboy.

And I inadvertently add the “e” out of habit. ๐

Walter, didn’t know if you were aware that CR director Martin Campbell also directed Pierce Brosnan in his first outing as Bond in GoldenEye.
Also forgot to mention that Dame Judi Dench adds a lot of class to the movie especially with the absence of the late Desmond Llewelyn as Q and CR being Moneypenny-less.
