Josh Pate, one-half of the Pate Brothers dynamic duo that brought “Surface” to the small screen told the Charlotte Observer, that while their fan favorite, but short-lived TV show “Surface,” has gone to that “place where shows go to die,” they still have some ideas for its future. Just not on television.
Commenting on their creation’s future Josh stated “we’re doing some online stuff. There may be some aspects of the Surface story line resurrected. We’re working with some special effects houses to put up a video blog.”
In other Pate news the boys are doing a pilot with Jerry Bruckheimer. It’s about guardian angels, really bitter, sarcastic angels. It’s not “Touched by an Angel” or “Highway to Heaven.” They are also doing some big screen stuff with John Leguizamo. They have written a script called “The Take.” It is a story about a truck driver who gets shot in the course of a heist and tries to track down the guy who shot him. Josh says, “It’s pretty rough.”
