the_incredible_hulk_ultimate_destruction.jpgMarvel Studios and Universal Pictures have finally decided on whether or not to make a sequel to the so-so 2003 “The Incredible Hulk” feature film, and the answer is yes for a June 27, 2008, release date.

Louis Leterrier (Transporter 2, Unleashed) has been tapped to direct and he is promising fans that the sequel will return to its well established comic book roots. Zak Penn (X-Men: The Last Stand) will pen the script with Avi Arad producing.

The film will gets its main financing from Marvel Studios through its $525 million, non-recourse film finance facility.

Okay, I could enjoy a Hulk sequel. But with the same writer as X-Men 3? I look forward to more stupid things happening just to squeeze in more special effects, people making stupid decisions because otherwise the movie wouldn’t last as long, and Wolverine crying.
