Holy Crap. Does all of the miniscule geek trivia get lost when I’m not there? The “Xena” Cylon was known as D’anna Biers (as a reporter in the fleet)… I can’t comment on which number she was, though.

    Summer,

    D’anna is number three
    Six (duh) is number six
    Sharon’s number eight
    Doral’s number five

Simon, Brother Cavill and Leoben haven’t been identified by number yet, as far as I know.

I am not a number, I am a free man!

See, the show just falls apart when Summer is gone. 😉

You know, I’ve noticed that vm shows have been spoiler-rific lately. I actually like that–having the vm show being with spoilers, but shorter, and the main show being spoiler-free, yet longer.

So, what I’m saying is, I like the spoilers in the voicemail shows.

Was listening to the vm podcast this morning after I got off work. Heard the comments re: length of podcasts subscribed to, and talk of Doctor Who/Torchwood.

While I was browsing the iTunes Store UK, came across several different podcasts for Doctor Who & Torchwood News, of course most of them will be spoilerific :). Some you might enjoy.

I don’t remember if it was during the slice VM or between slice and WI:VM, but did somone record Summer’s Burger rant? I don’t think it made it past the editing, and it was just funny to hear for some reason 🙁

It happened in between recording. Nothing caught on tape. sorry.

Just one more reason to listen in on the live feed. Lots of show that never makes it to air.

Can someone please tell me where the Chatroom link is located?
It’s not in the Backstage Pass page with the link to the live “broadcast”.
You all talk about The Chatroom in the show…but I can’t find a link saying “Chatroom” or “Join The Fun” or “Here We Are”.
If there’s a link, can you please post it in the Listen Live section?

In reference to the discussion about Old Time Radio. I think a large majority of the shows from the Golden Age of radio are in the public domain now. I know there is a huge file sharing site for them over at The Cobalt Club. (You will have to join the forums to get to the file sharing area. ) I’ve downloaded a ton of OTR shows from here and enjoyed getting almost full runs of some shows. I will admit when it comes to OTR, I prefer the comedies to the dramas. I am fascinated by the evolution of the sit-com into the form that we still know and is used today. (Though I’d argue that Jack Benny is still 1000 times funnier than any episode of According to Jim).

A while back when there was the great debate about how to “do” ads in a podcast, I thought the OTR model might work best. At times, the advertiser allowed the product to be woven into the script…as in a character would show up and extol the virtues of Maxwell House Coffee on Burns and Allen. But what I liked was how, at times, the advertisers allowed the performers to kind of rib the product. Or the characters to rib the guy who did the ads. I know this occurred on Fiber McGee and Molly, Burns and Allen and Jack Benny to name a few. I think that having this kind of personal endorsement in a podcast might be more effective. I’m far more inclined to listen to what Mike or Evo has to say about a product than, say some talking head in the super deluxe radio voice.
