Tad Stones – Our Guest On Slice of SciFi #081

October 26, 2006 By Sam Sloan Leave a Comment

On November 1, 2006 we will have as our special guest the supervising producer and director of the highly anticipated animation television special “Hellboy: Sword of Storms.”

Tad Stones will be joining our SoSF hosts in a lively discussion about what it took to get this animated program on the Cartoon Network. The animated show boasts the return of Ron Perlman, Selma Blair, Doug Jones and John Hurt, using their voices to reprise the roles they made famous on the live-action big screen film of Hellboy. Peri Gilpin will lend voice to the character of Kate Corrigan.

“Hellboy: Sword of Storms” airs this Saturday – October 28, 2006 at 9:30 PM ET on The Cartoon Network and Tad joins us the following Wednesday for Slice of SciFi Show #081. This Hellboy special tells the story of a professor of folklore who, upon opening an ancient forbidden scroll, becomes possessed by the ancient Japanese demons of Thunder and Lightning. Their goal is to return and dominate the entire world. The Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense sends Hellboy and a team of agents to investigate, but when Hellboy picks up a samurai sword, he literally disappears into that strange place of Japanese legends full of ghosts, demons and monsters. Bureau agents Kate Corrigan and Russell Thorne are hot on the trail of the possessed professor to bring Hellboy back to this reality.

You won’t want to miss this exciting interview with one of the most interesting animation directors on the scene today. That’s Slice of SciFi Show #081 ready for download on Wednesday, November 1, 2006. And, don’t forget to watch “Hellboy: Sword of Storms” Saturday, October 28th on The Cartoon Network at 9:30 PM ET.
