Jeff Goldblum, a very familiar face in his own right, will be joined come January 2007 by a top-rated actress familiar to TV and moviegoers. Madeleine Stowe, remembered by most SF fans for her performance with Bruce Willis in “12 Monkeys,” has joined NBC’s midseason series “Raines,” which stars Jeff in the title role as an eccentric but brilliant homicide detective who talks to dead victims who help him solve his crimes.
Stowe will play the psychologist Raines, against his will, must have sessions with. Their relationship is described as “a battle of wits.” She joins a growing ensemble cast that includes Malik Yoba, Linda Park, Matt Craven and Luiz Guzman.
