Actor Neil Jackson who played the cagey and mysteriously rich Marcus Van Sciver on SPIKE TV’s “Blade: The Series” stated on his MySpace page that the series, although cancelled by SPIKE, may be making a return at a new network in the future.
“NEW LINE are still behind the show and are currently shopping for a new home, so things may start a fresh elsewhere,” Jackson wrote. “Thank you to everyone who watched the show, stood in our corner and rallied for the cause. It was a blast to work on, and your encouragement and enthusiasm made it all the more so. I know this sentiment is echoed by the rest of the cast and crew.”
Jackson went on to say that “The series is yet to air abroad, and there are also DVD sales which all could contribute to the show being picked up on another network, allowing Blade to rise into a new and glorious dawn (sorry… getting a little carried away). But for now I just want to thank everyone for your comments, mails and support.”
“Blade: The Series” chronicled the ongoing mission of the half human/half vampire high-bred Blade as he and his team hunted down vampires across the globe. Blade was played in the television series by actor/rapper and now director/writer Sticky Fingaz.

This is good to hear. I’m glad to see that New Line hasn’t given up on it, like the network has. And I was going to buy the DVD anyway, whether there was going to be a second season or not.
I just found out the show was canceled. I really hope New Line will bring this show back!! It is a great show! Just bought the DVDs!! I love it!!
