Patricia Clarkson has joined the cast of “Lars and the Real Girl,” Sidney Kimmel Entertainment’s offbeat indie being released by MGM, reports Variety. She will share the screen with Ryan Gosling and Emily Mortimer. Craig Gillespie is directing from a script by Nancy Oliver. Filming begins in November 2006.
The movie is the story of a timid man whose life changes dramatically when an Internet friend comes to visit. The beautiful, religious missionary is in fact an inanimate replica of a woman. Can I get an Amen?
