Wagner Says Blade: The Series Is Over

September 29, 2006 By Sam Sloan 15 Comments

Paul, a fan of Slice of SciFi told us about this word from the Official Blade: The Series Forum. It is reported to come from actress Jill Wagner, who plays Krista on the weekly vampire hunter series.

“Just wanted to say thanks again to all of you who supported me and Blade the Series. I was just informed today that there will be NO 2nd season of Blade the Series. I really enjoyed playing Krista and i hope that i did her justice at least for one season! However, that is not the end of Jill Wagner’s acting career. I will keep you guys posted on what’s next for me. Again i say thanks for the support. Hey, there is always the DVD right????”
Jill Wagner

We will keep trying to verify this information – Stay posted.

SPIKE TV has confirmed that Blade: The Series is no more – Sam

Sad news. I thought it was pretty good. Now we never know how it continues with Krista.

PLEASE LET THIS BE A RUMOR! What is the deal with television these days? At least Blade had a full season, but other shows get sacked three to four episodes in.

Just when they get us hooked on a group of characters and a great storyline, they pull the carpet out from under us and expect us to pony up and by the DVDs to refill their coffers. Well this is one genre fan that is protesting.

They’re certainly not treating it as a rumor from the official Blade: The Series SPIKE TV Forum. The fans over there already have a petition going up to save the show.

I’ve contacted SPIKE but haven’t heard back from from them yet. I probably won’t either until they come out with an official press release debunking this as a rumor or verifying the report as being true.

The fans at the forum are convinced of its validty stating that the person posting as Jill Wagner really is her. But, I still consider it rumor until word from SPIKE’s management.

I really do hope this is a rumor. But I have a feeling that it might be true.

What upsets me the most isn’t just that it got cancelled, but that the finale looked as though it was setting up the next season, and we won’t see what happens.

    WTF???
What? It was on a forum?
Hmmm….until it is posted on the homepage of the official Blade:The Series site as an announcement?
Not buying it. Especially with that Season ender.
    Damn.

I’ve heard that Jill’s announcement was initially posted on her MySpace site. I’ll try to find a direct link.

Good riddance to bad rubbish. It was a steaming pile of **** with a wooden lead actor who had all the intensity of a box of toothpicks.

    Damn.
Yeah it was junk. But it was fun junk.
Spork, do you EVER eat candy? Or potato chips?
That shit ain’t good for you. But it’s supposed to be snacks.
Blade: The Series was fun to watch because it was junk.
It was SPIKE TV. NOT HBO. (Which I happen to not be able to afford, so I see all the good stuff on DVD via Netflix.)
I hunkered down with a cuppa tea on Wednesday nights and had a good old time talking back to the TV and laughing at some over-the-top fun Blade on Spike TV.
    Ah, well.
    Damn.

For mindless fun, there is porn. There’s nothing dumber than fake tits and fake orgasms.

I was gonna watch the new series AMPED, that would be on Spike TV sometime in the near future, but now forget about it. Blade was Spike TV’s first original series and they gave it the axe. What chance does any other new show have? If Spike isn’t going to give anything else a chance, why should I?

I am disappointed to hear this. When I first saw commercials for the show, I was not interested. My teenage son wanted to see it so I had the computer record it. After few episodes, my son lost interest but I came to look forward to watching each week.

    For YOU, maybe.
If I want to look at some tits, all I have to do is find a mirror, thankyouverymuch.
And as far as orgasms? Haven’t had to fake one yet.
    Like I said…
    For YOU, maybe.
