SF DVD Releases On Sale At Stores Today In the U.K.

Invasion (£61.99): all 22 episodes of the canned show in which water-based aliens take over the inhabitants of a small town.

Doctor Who – The Mark of the Rani (£19.99): 1985 Colin Baker story set in 19th century England, which pits the Doctor against the Time Lord double whammy of The Master and The Rani.

A Sound of Thunder (£18.99): Time travel SF that uses a classic Ray Bradbury story as a starting point.

Storm of the Century (£18.99): Stephen King mini-series about a supernatural being that turns up in a small town, who knows everyone’s secrets… You can also buy a Stephen King box set containing this, Salem’s Lot, It, The Shining, Rose Red and The Diary of Ellen Rimbauer.

Star Trek Q Fan Collective (£34.99): Box set of the best Q episodes, as voted for by fans.

The Wicker Man – Special Edition (£20.99): A new two-disc edition containing both the original theatrical cut, the extended “director’s cutâ€?, commentaries and documentaries.

Johnny and the Bomb (£17.99): The BBC adaptation of the Terry Pratchett book, about kids who travel back to WW2 and unwittingly change history.

Transformers – The Complete Box Set (£99.99): All four seasons of the ‘80s animated series.

Perfect Disasters (£19.99): TV series, recently shown on Five, that combines dramatisations of catastrophic natural disasters with scientific commentary.

The Uncanny (£12.99): Anthology horror from the Amicus stable, based round the notion that cats are the masters of Earth! Peter Cushing stars.

Arthur C Clarke – The Man Who Saw the Future (£12.99): A profile of the SF author, filmed in 1997.
