Snakes On a Plane did better than projected. It was estimated on Sunday that the Samuel L. Jackson flick would tumble from number 1 to barely in the Top Ten at number 9. However, the late Sunday film goers kept the film at number 7 for the the weekend.
It should also be noted that this weekend was the first in over a year that 50% of the Top Ten grossers were not genre related movies.
