“Ultraman” Now Available On DVD In USA

The “Ultraman” Collection is a remastered 3 Disc 20 episode set. For the first time in the U.S. you can see all the episodes with the original Japanese audio track with the English sub-titles or listen to the English budded tracks created for the U.S broadcasts by the cast of Speed Racer.

All 20 episodes from this first series are all uncut and remastered of the original Tsubuaya Productions television series created by Eiji Tsuburaya, (the special effects genius behind Godzilla).

    Is this the original Ultraman from the 60’s? With the Science Patrol and Hyata and the Beta Capsule? It looks like it!

    Oooh. Looking back on it, I know they were silly, but the child within me yearns…yes, it yearns. 🙂

    I’ll have to buy these just to see what my sons think of them. I watched and loved them on the local UHF station many years ago.

    Wow… talk about pushing a button on the Way Back machine!

    I have vivid memories of giggling like a banshee when Hayata once pulled out a fork (or a spoon?) instead of the capsule.

    I think Kimba the White Lion is already available, but once Marine Boy hits DVD, my weekday morning and after school viewing schedule could very well be complete.

    I used to watch Marine Boy and Astroboy and Gigantor and Speed Racer as I grew up.
