Warner Bros. and Initial Entertainment Group have acquired the Kit Whitfield werewolf novel “Benighted.” Graham King will produce along with Andrew Adamson. Adamson will, more than likely also direct.
The story was originally published in the U.K. with the title “Bareback.”
“Benighted,” an alternate reality story in which 90% of the population is werewolf, takes a serious look at issues such as prejudice and racism.
Adamson, known for his involvement with the “Shrek” franchise, also made a name for himself with a small little film you may have heard of, “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” and he is prepping the sequel “Prince Caspian.”
With that kind of track record we can expect good things out of “Benighted.”
