Director Neil Marshall’s (The Descent) next foray into his bizzare and disturbing universe will be a film project called “Doomsday.” It is a look at a futuristic post-apocalyptic world in which a group of people must join forces to prevent humankind’s total extinction. The film has been described by Marshall as “a dark, brutal action adventure.”
I don’t know how much darker it can get from his current film “The Descent,” but if Marshall says it’s dark, then you can bet we are all in for a scare fest in the most extreme. In a recent interview he compared it to a blending of Mad Max and Escape From New York with “futuristic knights…car chases…[and a] disease that threatens the remainder of humanity.”
As James T. Kirk might say – “Sounds like fun!”
