This November 3rd prepare yourself for the return of the rosey-cheeked chubby guy in the guise of Tim Allen for a third jump into the Santa legend, officially turning an original good idea into a very bad franchise.
Don’t get me wrong, I love watching Tim Allen act, but after the original film, it got old very quickly with Number 2 and now they want to foister another one on a sleeping viewing audience.
There is one reason I may actually watch this third installment (I’ll put it in my Netflix Que) – Martin Short. He will be playing the mischievous Jack Frost and will be Santa’s nemesis, trying to take over the jolly ole man’s holiday gig. There is possibly another reason to view this feature – Alan Arkin will join Ann Margret as Ma and Pa to Santa’s Mrs. Claus, (Elizabeth Mitchell).
All the other regulars from the previous two jaunts into the North Pole abode will be onboard including Judge Reinhold and Wendy Crewson and Eric Lloyd playing Allen’s son. Not returning is David Krumholtz as Bernard the Head Elf. His pointy-belled slippers will be filled by Spencer Breslin as Santa’s top Elf Curtis.
