“Star Trek: Hidden Frontier” Enters Season 7

June 18, 2006 By S. K. Sloan Leave a Comment

Star Trek: Hidden Frontier has launched it’s 7th and final season with the release of the season premiere in high resolution entitled “Heavy Losses.”

The battle has been lost, and now the crew of the USS Excelsior is fighting for their very lives! With the battle plan shattered, and the enemy manuvering to annihilate them, no one is safe from the clutches of Siroc and the Tholian Assembly.

“Heavy Losses” is Hidden Frontier’s 43rd episode and features the return of archvillan Siroc (Jim Davis) and chronicles the allies attempts to retake the disputed Tren’La System by force from the Tholians. Season 7 promises exciting new twists as the Federation grows closer to understanding the mysterious tetrahedrons, their connection to the Grey, the elusive Briar Patch species, and the true intentions of Siroc and his henchmen.

Season 7 sees the return of characters from previous seasons as well as some new faces in the ever-expanding scope of 24th century Star Trek.

In episode two titled “Bound”, the Allied fleet makes further preparations to counter Siroc’s next move, whatever it may be. But with the Grey continuing to be a no-show in the struggle for the tetrahedrons and Dyson Sphere, the fate of Admiral Knapp’s daughter hanging in the balance, and Barrett’s friends still struggling with his MIA status, things are beginning to rush headlong into a breakdown.

“Bound,” Hidden Frontier’s 44th episode, continues where “Heavy Losses” left off. Escalating tensions between the allies for both sides of the conflict are starting to reveal signs of strain amongst friend and foe alike – and nothing is assured for either side.

Hidden Frontier’s third Season 7 episode is in active production. In “Past Sins” Tetrahedron research is continuing, but without vital assistance from people in Dao’s past, gathering key information about locating and protecting the other Tetrahedrons has stalled out. Dao volunteers to return home and obtain further assistance from his former colleagues; but this mission may very well cost him his life, and the life of his host!
