Would you sell chunks of your time in life just to try and change the worst day of your life? That is the premise of a 20th Century Fox movie concept that just might fly because the man wanting to do the screenplay and directing of this supernatural thriller is Mr. Spike Lee.

“Selling Time” has spent a great deal of time on the Hollywood shelf having seen the light at Dreamworks, then put down. It was moved over to Fox 2000 where it lay dormant. It found a brief ray of light through Davis Entertainment which tried to get it rolling with Will Smith in the lead and Forest Whitaker helming. That too fell by the wayside until just recently when studio exec Peter Kang moved from Fox 2000 over to 20th Century Fox, bringing with him the “Selling Time” ideal. Now it is on again with Lee taking a strong interest in developing the project.
