On the Next Slice of SciFi Show #059, May 30th

May 26, 2006 By Sam Sloan Leave a Comment

On our next Slice of SciFi Show #059, ready for download on Tuesday May 30th we will be joined by our guests Bill and Toni Blair.

If you have watched scifi over the last 20 years and have seen an alien on the screen then chances are very likely it was Bill Blair. In fact, in Hollywood circles Bill is simply known as “The Alien Actor.” He has done work on Babylon 5, the series and the movies, and has had many appearances on STAR TREK’s “Deep Space Nine,” “Voyager” and “Enterprise.” Bill starred in several Alien Nation episodes and the movies. You would have also caught him in “The Puppet Masters,” “Evolution” and “The Invisible Man.”

With Bill is his lovely wife Toni Blair, a Hollywood triple threat. She acts, sings and dances. Toni has appeared opposite Jennifer Aniston and Ben Stiller in “Along Came Polly,” made several appearances on that Josh Whedon favorite “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” as well as episodes of “Friends” and “That 70’s Show.” On stage Toni has performed in productions of “The Tender Trap” and “Up the Down Staircase.”

On the rest of the show Mike, Evo and the Kick-Ass Mystic Ninjas look at all the genre news that matters to you. It looks like sequel, or is that prequel time for The Da Vinci Code. Hurley gets downsized, Jack Black gets a love interest in “Be Kind Rewind,” Kate says no to “Evolution #3” and Santa’s black sheep brother finally gets a name the lawyers are happy with.

In movie news we catch a glimpse at what Captain Jack Sparrow is up to with Davey Jones and a look into the future let’s us see something “Special” and Adam Sussman hopes to have a horror hit with “Anvil.”

Finally in TV News SPIKE gets all “Amped” up for the new fall season and Frank Spotnitz is doing the amping.
