NBC Wants To Rock Your World

May 19, 2006 By S. K. Sloan 1 Comment

Beginning this Sunday, May 21st and continuing on Tuesday, May 23rd at 9/8C on NBC, the network is promising a high-octane thrill ride with the premiere of “10.5: Apocalypse.”

This miniseries is the continuing saga of “10.5,” the story about an earthquake that left the West Coast of America devastated two years ago in that first miniseries event. Unknown to scientists at the time, that catastrophy in 2004 altered the core structure of the earth and now threatens the stability of all of North America and the Western Hemisphere.

An all-star cast headlined by two award-winning veteran actors, Frank Langella (Superman Returns) and Beau Bridges (Stargate SG1), reprising his role of President Hollister from the first series, will co-star Kim Delaney (CSI: Miami) who returns as the government’s seismologist expert, Dean Cain (The Laci Peterson Story), Oliver Hudson (The Mountain) and Carlos Bernard (24).

The mini-movie was filmed exclusively in the HD format and achieves a whole new level of visual effects and style that has not previously been achieved on network television. Hopefully, with talent on the caliber of Langella and Bridges the story will also rise to a new level of quality generally not seen in TV disaster epics.
