With a budget already creeping up to the $110 million dollar mark, the Jay Roach scifi comedy “Used Guys” is being put on indefinite hold. 20th Century Fox Studios cited pre-production delays for the door slam, with most of those delays resulting from scheduling conflicts between its two big stars Jim Carrey and Ben Stiller and the mega fees plus gross percentage being required by them and Roach.
The original budget was set at $90 mil, but with the film still in early pre-production, the cost is soaring well over projection.
Sources close to those involved say that all parties are eager to make this film as soon as their calendar’s allow and concessions can be worked out, but for the moment things look glum.
