“Silver Surfer” is Fantastic

May 4, 2006 By Kyle Nin 5 Comments

Another of Marvel Comics’ superheros will be making a cameo appearance in the next Fantastic Four movie. Silver Surfer, that surfin’ alien from beyond the cosmos is set to ride the curl in an as-yet undeveloped Fantastic Four 2 storyline.

The film is due for release on America’s biggest national holiday, July 4, 2007.

Another fantastic 4 movie? My god the first one was absolutely dire… Yes I know Jessica Alba yadda yadda but come on people…

I agree… I was only able to watch about half of the film before the wretchedly bad writing and acting forced be to eject the DVD. It was horrid – worse than the Hulk… and Daredevil…

They should give the silver surfer his own movie. a huge cosmic flick w/galactus or something would be excellent. I realize he’s got a history with the FF but come on, that FF movie was pure sewage.

Don’t get me wrong: it wasn’t the best comic book movie out there. But to put it in the same league as Hulk?!? THAT is only one of two movies I’ve ever walked out on in my life (the other was some chick flick I got suckered in to). The only reason I happen to own it is because it was in a two-pack with Serenity for the same price.
Daredevil bad, maybe, but definitely not HULK bad.

Yes. F4 was terrible, on par (below par?) with but not quite worse than the Hulk. I mean if you turned from the Thing back to normal, would you voluntarily turn back? What a terrible storyline… I hope they redeem themselves with part 2 (F42?) Anyway, X-Men is about the only other Marvel movie that was good besides Spiderman, of course.
