Invasion’s Future Still In the Wind

April 28, 2006 By S. K. Sloan 3 Comments

Jeff Bader, executive VP for ABC entertainment programming told TV Guide that the fate of “Invasion,” the scifi show about strange goings-on in the waters off the coast of Florida, is not as solid for renewal as first presummed.

With May, the month when the traditional networks decide what will be on their slate for the coming season, fast approaching ABC is taking a hard look at the the program. Bader admits that he has been pleased with the episodes since last November, but he feels the ratings haven’t reflected the quality being delivered each week by this Shaun Cassidy creation.

If execs continue believing in the show’s potential look for it to return, otherwise it will be blown away with the next sweeps hurricane.

I dont know why this Show keep dragging us back. OK my american girlfirend insists we watch it because its got ‘Cole from Sunset Beach’ in it and it reminds her of home… but apart from that its like a bloody soap dragged on for almost a year with little- to no story. It once in a blue moon shows you a very promising tidbit but for heavens sake.. Almost Everyone has been bodysnatched! But hell no we’re not going to call in the feds because hey the kids might get upset? The only rational one on the show is the teenage kid!

But I still can’t stop watching it! Why… please… make it stop! Or give me somthing concrete to hold onto!

    I have a confession.

I’m one of those people who really enjoy the show. I was also a huge fan of Shaun Cassidy’s ‘American Gothic’ back in the day, as well as Lost, so maybe I’m wired for a slower moving plot than others?
