Rosemary Meets Damien

April 20, 2006 By S. K. Sloan 3 Comments

Rosemary’s baby is growing and his name is Damien. Mia Farrow, the star of the cult-classic “Rosemary’s Baby” will star in the remake of “The Omen” which opens in theaters on June 6, 2006.

Farrow will play Mrs. Baylock to Seamus Davey-Fitzpatrick’s Damien, the devil incarnate with that 666 tattooed on the back of his skull.

The original film was made in 1976 and starred Gregory Peck, Lee Remick and Billie Whitelaw in the Mrs. Baylock role. “The Omen” spawned several poorer movie and TV sequels concluding with a grown-up Damien played by Sam Neill in “The Omen: The Final Conflict.”

Why the hell are they re-making a movie that doesn’t need a re-make.
Why not just do a digitally remastered 30th Anniversary RE-LEASE, and call it a day?
    Sheesh.

    Dude, what TallGirl said.

When they start remaking movies that are less than 10 years old, that’ll be our signal that Hollywood itself has jumped the shark, and that we need to collectively put that horse down.

And they wonder why fewer people are going to the theaters.

I have to agree… Why remake what needs no remake…

Myself it’s prolly more that Hollyweird just ran out of stories to make us cry, entertain us, scare us to death or basically shock us out of our pants and have us shell out what??? $15 to go to the theaters (not to mention what Popcorn and other Goodies will cost us)…

God forbid they start Selling us a Video Game version of the Movie they show as we leave the place and if we don’t buy it we can’t leave and have to stay and watch the next Feature…

    YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    hahahahaha….
