Producer and director Frank Marshall told Empire Online that despite past false start-ups in production, Jurassic Park IV “will happen next year.” Probably more like the end of next year since the script hasn’t even been written yet.

Marshall also indicated that original author of Jurassic Park, Michael Crichton will not have any writing duties on this fourth film in the franchise and Steven Spielberg will be too involved with Indy 4 to do the directing, even though some of his money will probably be behind the project.
