Time To Catch Up on “Invasion”

April 14, 2006 By S. K. Sloan Leave a Comment

If you haven’t seen the ABC scifi thriller “Invasion,” or missed a few episodes and want to play catch up before the show returns for its second half next week, then the ABC Family cable network is affording everyone that opportunity.

ABC Family will air the Invasion Marathon on April 15th (Saturday) from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM ET/PT. It will run 10 back-to-back episodes.

ABC has dedicated itself to sticking behind this Shaun Cassidy creation, even through its early lackluster showing in the ratings and its dragged out storylines. Now, however, the show is beginning to pick up the pace and is getting quite interesting.

Set in a hurricane ravaged hovel called Homestead, Florida the story centers around the local townsfolk, some of whom have become dramatically changed since the night of the hurricane. The town sheriff (William Fichtner) and his doctor wife (Kari Matchett) seem to be the center of the intrique and change that is taking place in the small town.

Matchett’s park ranger ex-husband (Eddie Cibrian) and his brother-in-law (Tyler Labine) become aware of what has changed their friends and neighbors and they both embark on a fight for the survival of their families, Homestead and the human race.

New episodes of this scifi series begin on the ABC Network April 19, 2006. But, to catch up be sure to watch the marathon this Saturday on the ABC Family Cable Channel.
