“The Mutant Chronicles” is a 23rd Century scifi thriller that will star the award winning John Malkovich and Thomas Jane (The Punisher).

Malkovich will play Constantine, a coporate overlord of a four mega-business conglomerate that runs the world and has ravaged Earth of most of its natural resources.

The film is loosely based on the RPG of the same name. When a band of mutants, known as ‘NecroMutants’ get organized and begin attacking humans in a life and death struggle for what few resouces remain, Major Mitch Hunter (Jane) leads the human fight against the mutants and thwarts Constantine’s plans for what he feels is best, not for humanity or the Earth, but for the Corporation.

Director Simon Hunter (Wired, Lighthouse) is expected to save a bundle in production costs by utilizing the same FX-style computer generated graphics technology employed on the blockbuster “Sin City.”

Shooting for “The Mutant Chronicles” is scheduled to begin this summer on location in the UK (the Isle of Man) and is slated for a 2007 release.
