Need a Geek Date? ….er, Need a Date Geek?

March 15, 2006 By Kyle Nin Leave a Comment

Are you tired of sitting in front of your self-built computer getting moist just thinking about MPPs, SMID’s and MIMD’s? Would you like to be able to sit down and watch “The Menagerie,” both parts with someone other than your nerf humping physics lab partner? Then Trek Passions may just have what a geek like you and the rest of us need.

This online dating service caters to science fiction and genre lovers who know the difference between Heinlein and Clarke and can quote verbatim the index notes from every Asimov and Bova novel.

If you know the difference between a Trekker and a Trekkie and got really heartbroken when Shatner told fans to “Get A Life” well, Trek Passions claims to be there to help you do that (hmmmm, wonder if Bill owns stock in it too?).

In a recent interview with Tucker Carlson of MSNBC, Jim Tracy, publisher of Online Dating Magazine said, “These Star Trek people. I mean, you know, these are serious, devoted fans.” And Trek Passions wants to take those fans to some place they may not have ever been before, on a real scifi lover’s date with someone who loves the genre as much as they do.
