The new CW Network obviously has faith in its new Aquaman project scheduled for its fall lineup. The network is reportedly putting up $7 million for its filming budget alone. Over half of that amount will go to costs associated with location shooting in Miami-Dade County, Florida. Shooting begins this week on the pilot of the DC Comics based character.

On the casting front, Lou Diamond Phillips (The Triangle) has been cast to play Tom Curry, the father of Aquaman’s alter ego A.C. Curry.
