Real-life father and son Tom Hanks and Colin Hanks will star together as father and son for the Sean McGinly magical comedy “The Great Buck Howard.”

Playtone, a Tom Hanks production company that brought “That Thing You Do” to the big screen has joined forces with Bristol Bay productions to provide the financing of this new project.

“The Great Buck Howard” is about a world famous illusionist played by Kevin Kline who takes a star-crossed kid (Colin Hanks) on as his assistant against the wishes of the kid’s father played by the elder Hanks.
