“Early in the Twenty First century, the Earth’s magnetic field reversed polarities. This set off a reaction which decimated most of the planet’s precious atmosphere, rendering it almost completely uninhabitable. Human kind was forced into a frantic search for a new home while still possessing space programs barely adequate to even reach Mars.
It is now decades later and the social elite have a flourishing colony established on the surface of Mars. Venus, on the other hand, is dotted with smaller settlements where the working-middle class labors endlessly to supply the people of Mars with the fuel it needs to power its ships. Earth has been left to the underprivileged and decrepit who couldn’t make the journey. The once barely tolerable social inequalities that plagued regions of Earth are now divided by planets in the regions of space. But there is still a voice.
