Stephen King’s latest novel “Cell” will be made into a major motion picture with “Hostel” director Eli Roth helming from the center seat.
“Cell” deals with what happens after an instantaneous pulse is sent out through cell phones around the globe. Everyone on the planet using their mobile phones at that second are turned into flesh devouring crazed zombies.
Dimension Films owns the rights to the production and is claiming that this will not be your typical zombie fare, but because it springs from the mind and pen of Stephen King the audience is promised, as Roth put it, “……a balls-out horror movie with a smart take on the zombie genre.”
The “Cell” project is currently in pre-production with a shooting schedule to follow the wrap of “Hostel 2.”
