The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and Principal Pops Conductor Jack Everly will take Northwest Airlines Pops Series audiences on a celestial journey through many popular selections from famous science fiction film scores and television series in four Sci-Fi Spectacular concerts featuring the music of John Williams Friday through Sunday, March 24-26 at the Hilbert Circle Theatre.
Joining the Orchestra and Maestro Everly will be Broadway actor and singer Mike Eldred, actor Walter Koenig, who portrayed “Mr. Chekov” in the original Star Trek television series and films, vocalist Kristin Plumley, and the “Sci-Fi-Ettes” vocal ensemble.
Maestro Everly has created an exciting weekend of music featuring many famous and popular selections from Sci-Fi films and television. The program will showcase many works by John Williams, including the main themes and selections from the various Star Wars films, plus selections from the film scores to Superman, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, E.T., The Extra-Terrestrial, and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, among others.
