Enterprise Direct-to-DVD Petition

March 8, 2006 By S. K. Sloan 4 Comments

PRESS RELEASE

The Enterprise Direct-to-DVD petition currently has over 3000 signatures. With your help, we hope to see that number multiply many times over by the first of May when the signatures will be formatted and presented to CBS/Paramount requesting that Enterprise be brought back as a Direct-to-DVD title.

A straight-to-DVD production would be both profitable for Paramount, as well as going a long way towards putting this franchise back on its feet. At this stage, it is almost certainly a better proposition than another cinema outing. DVD sales are racing ahead of box office receipts with more and more people simply waiting a few months to see films in the comfort of their own homes.

In addition, the average consumer would have no reservations in spending their hard-earned money on a special single disc release, where they might hesitate with some of the more expensive series box-sets.

To sign the petition please visit STENTDVD Online Petition.

    bonjour,

the people who want enterprise back are are
wasting true passinate hardcore air breathing
money spending sweat collecting sci—fi fan’s
enjoyment for good star trek and future sci—fi
the real reason for enterprises failure is mistake
of going back in time to a bland crew of new
chacters if they did what smallive did and rebotted the orignal cast stories maybe and better
actors. critics and fans and non fans would love
the new show. the next true step to good star trek
is take the best of all the cast for all the shows
and find new actors to play simular parts not copy
the name charcters. vote on online surveys and
contest take the show to where voyager is in time
back to the star trek present. market and promote
get rusell t. davies on board look at the new dr.
who show now coming to sci-fi channel. he writes
    great. or someone like him.
thats what i have to say

I disagree. I love Star Trek and I really want Enterprise back. But if they decided to “reboot” the series, I wouldn’t watch it. I want to watch new stuff, not watch rehashed versions of what I’ve already watched, no matter if the cast was outstanding.
