Real Astronauts Celebrate STAR TREK’s 40th

February 19, 2006 By S. K. Sloan Leave a Comment

Real-life astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Alan Bean will be joining STAR TREK alum at the Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame in Seattle, Washington on September 8-10, 2006, to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the legendary STAR TREK franchise.

Among the special guests attending the gala event are Nichelle Nichols (Uhura), George Takei (Sulu), Walter Koenig (Chekov), Grace Lee Whitney (Rand), Jonathan Frakes (Riker), Marina Siritis (Troi), Tim Russ (T’uvok), Alan Ruck (Harriman), Eugene Roddenberry’s son Rod, and the grand dame of the entire STAR TREK universe Majel Roddenberry.

This special convention will have a tribute to everyone’s favorite engineer Montgomery Scott with a final farewell to the beloved actor who portrayed him for nearly 40 years, James Doohan.

There is only 400 reserve seating available. To get the chance of being one of the lucky 400, head over to Planetexpo, and the best of luck to you.

This gala event is made possible by the joint efforts of Plantxpo, The Science Fiction Museum, MBL Entertainment, Trek United and artist Michael David Ward.
