What the #$*! (Bleep) Extras

February 9, 2006 By S. K. Sloan 3 Comments

What the BLEEP – Down the Rabbit Hole is an extended Director’s Cut of What the Bleep Do We Know!? It includes new scientific findings that supplement the original movie, and it goes more deeply into the concepts explored.

The film still follows Amanda as her uninspired life unravels to reveal the uncertain world of quantum mechanics hidden beneath her normal, waking reality. But in the Director’s Cut, the interviews are lengthened and a full 95% of all interviews is new, never before seen footage exploring the links between quantum mechanics, neurobiology, human consciousness and day-to-day reality.

Featuring an hour of new interviews and two new scientists, Dean Radin, Ph.D., and Dr. Masaru Emoto, and author of The Field, Lynne McTaggart; and introducing Dr. Quantum in 20 minutes of new animation, this is the deeper exploration that you’ve been asking for.

After four years and thousands of hours working with the scientific information presented in What the BLEEP Do We Know!?, the filmmakers were sure about at least one thing: There was much more to know.

As they worked with the material, they laughed and admitted you just don’t get quantum physics, biology and psychoneuroimmunology the first time through. Or the first hundred times through.

Audience responses, website responses, letters, emails and conferences all indicated the same thing: People wanted a deeper understanding of all these concepts, and a deeper knowledge about how they affected them individually and as a collective.

The extended Director’s Cut of What the BLEEP – Down the Rabbit Hole stars Marlee Matlin, Barry Newman, Elaine Hendrix, Armin Shimerman, Robert Bailey, Jr. and John Ross Bowie along with a whole array of real scientists, spiritual leaders, as well as filmmakers William Arntz, Betsy Chasse (Let’s Talk About Sex) and Mark Vicente (Father Hood, Sarafina).

For the skinny on this film check out the above link.

This film is NOT scientific, and has no basis in real quantum physics. It is produced by a group called the “Ramtha School of Enlightenment” which is a mystical school headed by a woman named JZ Knight who is channeling a warrior from the age of Atlantis named Ramtha.

Avoid at all costs, and tell everyone you know to read the Skepdic article on it.

Total BS. Presents quantum mechanics in a totally incorrect fashion. At least one of the scientists involved was shocked at how they used his interview. The film was made by the Ramtha School of Enlightenment. For more on this New Age cult see the Skepdic entry on JZ Knight: http://skepdic.com/channel.html

I find the popularity of this ‘documentary’ sad. I suppose it isn’t the fault of the poor bastards who watch this and believe that this is what quantum mechanics is about because the film twists science fact into new-agey crap. Theoretical physicists have come out and been vocal against using quantum concepts to apply to non-quantum events (especially consciousness…).

Avoid this movie and warn others about it.

JZ Knight, just so you know, claims to channel a 35,000 year-old Atlantean warrior named Ramtha. Her organization made this film. If you want good documentaries on quantum mechanics check Discovery channel, or public television.

As someone who works with the Laws of Physics on a daily basis in my other life, I believe the film is not to be taken too seriously.

The great thing about most Slice of SciFi fans is that they can watch it, make a rational decision and decide for themselves without having to be told to avoid it at all costs.

I also am very aware of JZ Knight and her claims. And while I personaly think she is full of shit, again I trust in the intelligence of our average Slice of SciFi audience and am confident in their abilities to smell fraud from truth.

About the only thing I censor on this site and in our show’s content is spam and a definite disregard for the respect of our fellows.

My advice, if one is so inclined to listen to it at all is watch the flick and make up your own mind. but, then again, that is up to each person to decide.
