At this year’s Berlin Film Festival Summit Entertainment has signed a first-look deal with Constantin. With the package comes “Resident Evil: Extinction, the latest franchise Jovovich flick set for productuion this year.
Logged to the deal is the U.S. made thriller “Adrift,” a story about a group of young adults on a weekend party yacht cruise. They all decide to go for an impromtu swim, each diving off the boat, but forget to lower the ladder off the side before embarking. Finding the sides of the boat far too slippery to scale, they are left adrift in the ocean miles from shore with an small unattended baby on board the yacht. The film tagged as “Lord of the Flies” on the water will be distributed in Germany through Universum as part of the Summit-Constantin agreement.
