D & D’s “Wrath” Is Unleashed

February 5, 2006 By S. K. Sloan 3 Comments

“Dungeons and Dragons: Wrath of the Dragon God” is the sequel to the very popular Dungeons and Dragons RPG.

Be ready to be taken further into the dark world of D & D with this fantasy made in epic proportions.

“Wrath’s” story takes up on the evil sorcerer Damodar (Bruce Payne) as he steals the elemental black orb and plans his revenge on the Kingdom of Ismir. Our heros are Berek (Mark Dymond), Melora (Clemency Burton-Hill) and the four gallant heads of Intelligence, Wisdom, Honor and Strength. They do battle against the monstrous forces of Damodar’s dragonian creatures.

The supporting cast includes Ellie Chidzey as Lux, Dorian is played by Steven Elder, Lucy Gaskell is Ormaline, Roy Marsden is Oberon and Tim Stern portrays Nim.

“Wrath of the Dragon God” will be available on DVD February 7, 2006 and will include many extras including an enlightening interview with Gary Gygax, the creator of Dungeons and Dragons.

Isn’t this the one that was on sci-fi not too long ago. I liked it a lot better than I did the first even though it didn’t have a dwarf fighter.

This is, indeed, the D&D movie that aired on SciFi late last year. It’s a significant improvement upon the original, despite the lack of angry dwarves.

Trivial tidbit: The subtitle of this movie was originally The Eternal Might. Why it was changed to Wrath of the Dragon God, I’m not sure. Possibly because there was nothing eternally mighty about the movie, but there was at least one wrathful dragon. Still, not a bad flick.

Surprisingly good considering that which it follows!
