“Butterfly” Flits To SciFi Channel

January 13, 2006 By S. K. Sloan 2 Comments

Slice of SciFi has learned that the Ashton Kutcher feature film “The Butterfly Effect” is under serious consideration by The SciFi Channel to be made into either a weekly or a multi-part miniseries.

VP Mark Stern said that the Butterfly Effect “really fits [the] bill” for a “smart but accessible time travel series.”

If the series gets the green light the genre channel is looking at next year for its debut. It will center on the continuing saga of Evan (Kutcher’s film character), a man who can manipulate the outcome of future events, but not always for the better.

There has been no word on the names of actors under consideration for the part of Evan.
