NarniaWeb is claiming that Douglas Gresham, stepson of the late C.S. Lewis, is already laying the groundwork for the sequel to the highly successful ‘The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.’
‘Prince Caspian’ will take the Pevensie kids on a return trip through the wardrobe to Narnia at the request of Queen Susan.
Narnia is a blockbuster hit for Disney Pictures easily topping all contenders, including Peter Jackson’s big budget remake of ‘King Kong.’
It is reported that all four of the young thespians are onboard for the sequel, including director Andrew Adamson.
According to Adamson, he wants to do ‘Prince Caspian’ next because it involves the same four children as the first film and it is his desire to use the same actors before they get too much older (kids have a way of growing up – just ask Harry Potter).
Adamson also stated that he and Walden Media (the owner of all the Narnia books) see a potential for a seven-part film series and that he will most likely “be involved with the rest of them.”
