From Cove to Cave

January 6, 2006 By Kyle Nin 1 Comment

“Blue Lagoon” alum Christopher Atkins is co-starring with STAR TREK’s own Colm Meaney in an upcoming original SciFi Channel movie entitled “Caved In: Prehistoric Terror”. I hold out some hope for this TV film for one reason, Colm Meaney. The small-screen flick will also feature David Paliffy of Stargate SG-1 and Soul Survivors’ Angela Featherstone.

The premise? Atkins’ character is an adventurous explorer who pays the rent by taking people on splunking and mountain climbing jaunts. The hook is that he includes his whole family in the tour business, including his wife played by Featherstone.

The drama begins when Meaney’s character hires him to lead an expedition to a series of caves that have been sealed off from the public for nearly 100 years. This grabs the adventurer in him so he agrees and that’s when the real terror begins.

“Caved In: Prehistoric Terror” will priemere tomorrow night, January 7, 2006 at 9PM ET/PT on SciFi Channel.

It’s a Saturday movie. I’m not really holding out that much hope. It looks about as bad as “Blood Suckers.”
