According to Zap2it.com, ALIAS will once again join ABC’s highly successful LOST for at least two weeks. The Jennifer Garner vehicle will replace INVASION and follow LOST on December 7th and 14th. INVASION would have been repeats on those two nights anyway.

ALIAS has not performed as well as ABC had hoped after it was moved to its current Thursday night slot. They are hoping the success they had last season with the pairing of LOST and ALIAS will occur again with this tryout. If last year’s ratings are matched during this temporary move, it may be permanent. ABC has a lot invested in ALIAS and even with the rumors that this may be Garner’s last season, the execs at the network won’t to hold on to the franchise as long as possible.

What will replace ALIAS on Thursday, December 8th has not yet been decided. On December 15th the network will air the Tim Allen movie The Santa Claus at 8:00 PM ET/PT.
