Billie squashes Dr Who rumours
Actress Billie Piper has denied she is to quit Dr Who, despite rumours she was leaving the show after the first series.
A newspaper reported Billie wanted to avoid being typecast, but she has called the rumours “rubbish”.
She is expected to be seen in a Christmas Day special alongside the new Time Lord David Tennant.
A spokesman said: “Rose has a whole new journey and a fantastic set of adventures to go on with the brand new Doctor, starting in the special on Christmas Day.”
So the question is: Which rumor is true, the one reportedly coming from the BBC and ICN or this one from ITN? Evidently only Billie knows for sure.
Will the real Billie Piper please stand up!
Perhaps both reports/rumors are correct?
This new one doesn’t actually say she’s doing a third season and only mentions a “new journey and a fantastic set of adventures to go on with the brand new Doctor” which would be (at least) season 2.
The previous rumor says she wants out before the third season starts filming.
Excellent observation, and you may very well be correct in that assessment.
According to David Tennent on Radio 1 today, Billie is not leaving as of yet.
So we’ll just have to wait and see
