According to the BBC and the ICN Wales Network Billie Piper (plays Rose Tyler) is calling it quits and saying goodbye to Doctor Who.

The BBC stated that they are committed to a third season with or without Piper, although it was reported that the network tried desperately to convince the former pop star to stay on. Piper has stated that she has definitely decided it is time to leave the show.

The BBC is scurrying to find her replacement. Piper will be seen in the upcoming Doctor Who Christmas Day special.
