The U.K.’s top model, Sienna Guillory has been given the nod to headline as the female lead in 20th Century Fox’s upcoming fantasy-adventure “Eragon.”

Guillory will star as the elven Arya. You may remember Guillory as Jill Valentine in the horror feature, Resident Evil:Apocalypse starring Milla Jovovich.

Eragon also stars newcomer Ed Speleers in the male lead and boasts a supporting cast of Jeremy Irons, John Malkovich and Djimon Hounsou.

The movie is expected to be a summer blockbuster for Fox and has begun filming in Hungary. The author of Eragon, Christopher Paolini, has plans for at least 2 more book sequels, therefore, if this first movie is as successful as Fox execs’ are hoping….don’t be surprised to see more of Eragon on the big screen over the next several years. Look for its first release in theaters in June 2006.
