More Post-Apocalyptic Fun Coming To TV With “The Hundred”

The flavor of the month after the success of Revolution seems to be post-apocalyptic stories if the growing list of pilots is any indication.

For example the recently greenlit CW pilot for The Hundred. Taking place 97 years after a nuclear war wiped out civilization, a spaceship with the survivors of humanity sends 100 juvenile delinquents down to the surface to investigate the possibility of recolonizing the planet.

While I certainly can get on board with more gritty SciFi, the news outlets have been describing this as a Science Fiction “lord of the flies”. I’ll admit it has been a few years since I read that novel, but I’m not really seeing the parallels. What are your thoughts?

More details as we hear them.

  1. Concept doesn’t interest me as much as a series based on “Dies The Fire”, much more post acpocalyptic series if you ask me and very believable.

  2. APOCALYPTIC sorry
