Oh sure, he’s got those little Middle Earth movies. But how about Peter Jackson stepping into the directing chair for a world-wide phenomenon about a guy traveling through space and time in a blue box?
Think our news director is dreaming?
He could be–but then again, so is Doctor Who star Matt Smith. Smith recently told Doctor Who TV that he thinks Jackson would be a great choice to direct an installment.
“Let’s get Peter Jackson to direct one and go and make it in New Zealand. I would love to, I will campaign endlessly to come over and film there,” Smith says.
But wait, there’s more. Jackson says he’d be on board for it.
“I’m a huge Doctor Who fan, and I think Matt’s fantastic. Just name a time and place, and I’ll be there!” Jackson replied.
I say let’s go huge and have Jackson direct the next installment written by Neil Gaiman. It would be fan-boy nirvana.
