A video game based on Joss Whedon’s Firefly could get a second shot at life, reports Massively.
Multiverse was developing an MMO based on the TV series, but the studio was shutdown before work could be completed. Now a group called the Multiverse Foundation has stepped up and purchased all the original source code created for the game. The group intends to finish it and then look into a deal to distribute the game.
Before you get too excited, we should point out that while the group does have the source code to the game, they don’t have the rights to the Firefly universe just yet.
So that could be a hurdle to come.
