“Breaking Dawn” Producers Don’t Want You To See Leaked Photos

April 4, 2011 By Michael Hickerson 16 Comments

Last week, photos from the production of Twilight: Breaking Dawn leaked out on-line.

The producers of the film say the photos are unauthorized and shouldn’t have leaked.  And they don’t want fans of the movies to view them or possibly have them SPOIL anything about the upcoming film.

Author Stephenie Meyer, director Bill Condon and producer Wyck Godfrey issued the following statement about the photos.

As some of you may know, pictures and screen grabs of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn as a work in progress have leaked on the internet. We are extremely proud of this film and also extremely heartbroken to see it out there at this stage.

The film and these images are not yet ready or in their proper context. They were illegally obtained and their early dissemination is deeply upsetting to the actors, the filmmakers and Summit who are working so hard to bring these movies to fruition to you in November 2011 and November 2012.

Please, for those who are posting, stop. And please, though the temptation is high, don’t view or pass on these images. Wait for the film in its beautiful, finished entirety to thrill you.

And they aren’t the only ones with harsh words for those who leaked the photos. Star Robert Pattinson isn’t thrilled about it and says anyone who would leak the photos isn’t a “true fan.”

“I want the Twilight troops to mobilise, all the good fans, and find out who these little s**ts are and just hack into their computers [to] destroy them,” the actors tells MTV.   “I think there’s a little ring and they behave like a… little clique. They keep it all to themselves. [It’s] so disgusting.”

“They’re just ruining it for themselves… why do this maliciously? You’re not a fan. You’re just a d–k,” he charged. “That’s all there is to [it]… It’s raw footage. It’s not even what people are going to see… [These hackers are] idiots.”

Which begs the question: “Why then, did they leak them?” Com’on, you know some studio head put the stamp of approval on it.

In my opinion, anyone wanting to see the pictures for this flaming piece of regurgitated dog $hit of a movie series are the d–ks. Sorry, sometimes I just feel so strongly I have to speak out. To those posting the photos, kudos. It’s nice to do to the Twilight creators what they’ve been doing to the vampire/werewolf genre for years.

Strangely, I have absolutely no desire to see leaked videos. Or any of the rest of the film for that matter…

    People do know there was a… …. … book … … … right?

    Robert Pattinson is an idiot.

Telling people on the Internet not to do something is an exercise in futility. This is only going to make more people want to see them, brilliant strategy Napoleon.

Man, Robert Pattinson needs to calm down! It’s not like the pictures are going to stop any Twilight fan from seeing the movie (the pics might even help get more people seeing the movie) and he says himself that ‘It’s raw footage. It’s not even what people are going to see’. Then why does he care about it then?

“Breaking Dawn Producers Don’t Want You To See Leaked Photos”

Well that’s handy, because I don’t wanna see ’em. Nice that we’re finally on the same page.

I’m looking for the fark of Blade the Vampire Killer standing behind the Twilight wimps. Now that’s entertainment.

I’d wait, but I just don’t care enough. There’s not enough time in the universe for a Twilight property to be beautiful or thrill me.

If the Brothers Winchester showed up, THAT would be beautiful and thrilling.

@Bronzethumb, you’re tempting me to write that fan film, aren’t you? Script Frenzy is underway, and I wasn’t planning on jumping in this year.

So, who should show up in the next Twilight movie, to clean up the town… Sam & Dean, Faith, or Buffy? I’ve never read the Twilight books, but now you’ve got me actually thinking crossover… or residual plot for my other story…

Blade in Breaking Dawn would make for a very short film.. 🙂

Roll on 2012! Cannot wait for this Twilight crap to be over. Hopefully the Mayans were right and we wont be subjected to this saccharine sh$t!

If Blade were to show up in Twilight, he would be fighting WITH the Cullens, not against them as they are NOT human blood drinkers like him. He would be fighting the Volturi with them. The same for Buffy – look at her relationship with Angel…

WHY come to an article about Twilight if all you are going to do is slate it?!?!?

  15. Michael Hickerson says

    April 13, 2011 at 7:29 am

@Carrie. The comments are the ones suggesting that Blade taking on the Cullens would be fun, not the article.

That said, the best t-shirt I’ve seen lately is “And then Buffy staked Edward”

I’d pay real money to see that!
